What is a cloud-based real estate agency and how is it different from traditional brokerages?

Do I have to join The Cloud Agents to join Real?
You don’t technically have to join The Cloud Agents to join Real—but you should if you want to cut your annual cap in half and reach it even faster. While individual Real agents have a $12,000 cap, members of a team like The Cloud Agents cap at just $6,000 and receive all the same benefits as individuals.
Do I pay any fees for joining Real?
Real has no monthly fees—just a $249 startup fee and a $750 annual brokerage fee, deducted from your first three transactions. After reaching your annual cap, there’s also a $275 transaction fee (or $125 per lease). Finally, you’ll be responsible for your local board of Realtors and MLS memberships and can opt-in for discounted CRM services at $40/month.
Does Real provide office space?
By operating primarily through a cloud-based platform, Real eliminates the need for physical office space. This model allows Real to offer high commission splits and extensive support without monthly fees.
Who negotiates client fees and commissions?
At Real, you have the autonomy to negotiate fees and commissions with your clients. We suggest a minimum charge of $500 on all listings, but the final decision is always your call.
Is there any minimum sales requirement at Real?
Real doesn’t enforce a strict minimum sales volume, but does provide incentives that help you keep making sales and referrals. For example, closing $450 in company dollars every 6 months makes you eligible for Real’s revenue-share program.
